So you're coming to Austin to party...
If you don't have a place to stay yet you should check out The Upper Story. Super cute spot in the perfect part of town so you can walk to pretty much all of these cool places on the east side of Austin.

East 1st Grocery & Bottle Shop
1811 E Cesar Chavez St

First off, bars close at 2 a.m. here. Every weekend, there's at least one group that didn't plan to keep the party going at their place afterward. After you get settled into your spot, go hit up East 1st to grab some beer. Don’t forget some snacks and a bottle of Yellowbird hot sauce to put on everything you eat.

East side vegan food truck park
2324 E Cesar Chavez St.
Right across the street is an awesome vegan food truck park. Don’t let the name fool you! Whether or not you’re vegan, you have to try it. The food is downright amazing. There are a variety of food trucks on the property, including Milky Way Shakes (insanely delicious...try the Grackle Massacre), Rockin’ Vegan Tacos, and more! It’s affordable, easy, and there’s a convenient outdoor seating area if you want to chill.
la BBQ
2401 E Cesar Chavez St labarbecue.com
If you’re coming to Austin, you’ve already done your BBQ research. If you miss out on la BBQ you’re crazy. This woman-owned, award-winning BBQ will make your mouth water while you’re waiting in line. (Yes, plan on a line. It’s worth it.) Get there early! They tend to sell out. Make sure you save room for the chipotle coleslaw and some of their spicy garlic dill pickles.
Cenote
1010 E Cesar Chavez St cenoteaustin.com

This is THE coffee place to gather and make your plans for the day. Cenote is another woman-owned business, and this place is CUTE AF! It’s inside an amazingly preserved home from 1887, and the yard has been turned into a lush green patio. Grab a coffee and a bite made from locally sourced ingredients. We recommend their breakfast tacos and sandwiches.

Coco Coquette
2109 E Cesar Chavez St cococoquette.myshopify.com

If you're looking for bachelorette party ideas in Austin, how about a WIG PARTY! There’s more to do in Austin than eat. Pretty much every weekend, we have parties coming through looking fierce after getting all done up by the pros at Coco Coquette. They’re always having a blast bar hopping in their wigs. Definitely check them out. They’re an LQBTQ Safe Space too!
Blue Owl Brewing
2400 E Cesar Chavez St blueowlbrewing.com

If you haven’t tried sour beers, you’re missing out. If you drink sours, you probably already know about the great beers they’re making here. We sell a bunch of Spirit Animal Sour Pale Ale at the bar. They have some creative seltzers you should check out too. Go visit their tasting room and grab some beers to go.

Gati Ice Cream
1512 Holly St gatiicecream.com
So, you might be wondering what the deal is with all these vegan options, but again, take our word for it. This ice cream is legit. Thai-inspired and made from coconut milk, flavors range from lemongrass ginger to coconut ash to cinnamon CBD, and they rotate them seasonally. Grab a cone or a pint, and your day is made. Oh, and they have gluten-free baked goods, coffee, and tea too. You’re welcome.

2001 E Cesar Chavez st

And of course there's us! We're a chill neighborhood bar with a great patio and bad ass little record store. We're known for our frozen drinks, killer food and our great selection of records for sale. Burgers, tacos, wings and some unique creations like Tot-chos... all made fresh to order. Our kitchen is open until midnight so plan your night to end with us!
