Two Scientists Walk Into a Bar

It sounds like the opening line of a joke. But it’s actually a unique opportunity for Austin-area adults to engage with the local scientific community at bars and restaurants in their own neighborhoods. 

Thinkery is pleased to bring Two Scientists Walk Into a Bar® to ten locations throughout Austin on Thursday, July 18. During Two Scientists Walk Into a Bar Thinkery sends pairs of scientists out to different bars and restaurants, where the public is invited to ask them questions in an informal, relaxed setting. Pull up a barstool, have a couple of drinks and pick the brains of some friendly local scientists!  

Those scientists will be easy to spot, as they’ll be sitting near a sign that reads "We are scientists. Ask us anything!" The questions are as diverse as the scientists themselves and can range from string theory to meteorites.
